Essential Functions
Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, GMPs and wear the required PPE while in the warehouse or production areas.
Responsible for adhering to food quality and food safety as per quality standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements.
Perform cleaning duties – sanitizing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pick‑up/disposal, floor scrubbing, and restrooms across all plant areas including outside of the building.
Responsible for disposal of all office recycling.
Responsible for replenishing paper products in restrooms and break rooms.
Understanding of various cleaning agents and their appropriate uses.
Maintain and refresh all break rooms after scheduled breaks, lunches and special events – cleaning tables, microwaves, cabinets, door handles, etc.
Maintain and keep track of cleaning inventory in supply cabinets; notify management when items need to be ordered/restocked.
Required Skills
Experience in Food/ Beverage Manufacturing preferred.
Ability to read and understand safety data sheets (SDS).
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize and multi‑task in an organized manner.
Comfortable working independently and showing initiative.
Competencies
Cleaning and Sanitation Procedures: knowledge of standard cleaning protocols and practices.
Time Management: Efficient in managing time to complete cleaning tasks within scheduled times.
Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Working Conditions
Work Schedule: Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evenings, overnight and holidays may be required. Overtime scheduled as needed.
Work Environment: Operating in a fast‑paced production plant with numerous moving parts. Noise levels require hearing protection and temperatures can become very hot or relatively cold. The environment is structured and supervised.
Travel Requirements Rarely.
Physical Requirements Stand or sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl – typical for 0‑15% of the time. Lift up to 50 lbs.; carry weights, lift, walk, drive, climb stairs/ladders or balance – frequently required.
