Qualifications
A licensed Psychiatrist (MD/DO) with experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, triage, managing common psychiatric medication and treatment plans, and managing crisis situations.
Board‑certified in Psychiatry with an active, unrestricted license and valid DEA number with Schedules II‑V listed.
Registration with state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP).
No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal healthcare programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP).
No adverse actions by any medical board, hospital or other credentialing body in the past 3 years.
Ability to provide telehealth.
Work permitted in California, Colorado, Georgia, or Virginia (state license required).
Compensation & Policies
Per session payment: $165 per initial visit (60 minutes) and $105 per follow‑up visit (30 minutes).
Additional $60 payment for 90833 coding.
Direct deposit every two weeks with no need to worry about unpaid claims.
No‑show protection: Rula pays you 100% of your time even when the patient no‑shows, cancels late, or the claim is denied.
Independent contractor status — you control your own schedule and the amount of time you allocate to working with Rula.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical assessments for patients seeking mental health care, including diagnostic assessments, psychiatric workups, and treatment planning including medication management.
Work with individuals who are struggling with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.
Use our EHR and telehealth platform to deliver care.
Receive support from our Support and Care Coordination teams.
Manage one‑hour initial consultations and half‑hour follow‑up visits.
Focus on patient care while Rula handles credentialing, billing, marketing, and administrative tasks.

Care coordination: Dedicated team manages higher‑level of care requests.
