Job Description:
Training Specialist Principal – LCS Tactical Action Officer. Develop, organize, and conduct training for fleet sailors at the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Training Facility, Pacific (LTFPAC) Learning Site in San Diego. Serve as Navy SME for LCS TAO instruction to Officer and Enlisted students and support curriculum development for other SCSTC courses.
Responsibilities
Dynamic teaching & training with assessment using U.S. Navy LCS Combat Systems.
Support Train to Qualify (T2Q) and TYCOM Training & Certification (TTC) processes.
Prepare, review, and customize curriculum lesson plans and instructor guides.
Conduct formal course reviews, update curriculum, perform training gap analysis & provide feedback.
Develop, test, and deliver Navy Combat Systems training programs and materials for SCSTC objectives.
Establish and review course content and objectives.
Conduct training sessions and evaluate effectiveness.
Maintain records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies.
Primary instruction in LCS-2 TAO and LCS-2 UTT/crew certification training; support as Warfare Commander.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent.
8+ years experience with required systems as maintenance/operational manager for teaching others.
Qualified US Navy Tactical Action Officer (TAO) with shipboard experience.
Two years instructor experience in Navy Training Environment – curriculum maintenance, writing objectives, preparing tests, evaluating materials, counseling students.
One year experience with training systems/simulations for learning objectives.
Active Secret Clearance required.
Support second shift work schedule on rotational basis.
Extended periods on feet while instructing; travel up to 10% of time.
US Citizenship required.
