Position Overview As a

Production Technician , you are responsible for running and monitoring specific equipment on the production line in a safe and reliable manner. Your role focuses on building fundamental technical skills, developing process discipline, and learning the basics of equipment performance and quality checks. The Production Technician is expected to follow standard operating procedures, respond to basic equipment stops, and escalate abnormalities. With strong performance, technical curiosity, and learning agility, this core can progress into a Production Specialist, gaining broader technical responsibility and autonomy.

The Winter Haven plant is a high‑volume, fast‑paced 24/7‑365 days/year manufacturing environment. Our crews work 12‑hour shifts (6 am‑6 pm / 6 pm‑6 am) working 4 days on / 4 days off. Schedules will rotate from day to night shift every 4 weeks.

Competencies

Operational Experience:

Ability to handle day‑to‑day operations of production machinery and ensure the production process runs continuously without interruptions.

Limited Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance:

Ability to identify issues, perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance tasks, and use hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks and repairs.

Quality Assurance and Inspection:

Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specified standards and record results accordingly.

Safety Understanding:

Understands the importance of safe work practices and follows procedures diligently.

Literacy and Comprehension:

Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending written materials clearly in the local language relevant to the role.

Effective Communication:

Ability to communicate and report issues effectively with coworkers and internal leadership team.

Attention to Details:

Keen attention to detail to ensure all aspects of production meet high standards.

Time Management:

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Continuous Improvement Mindset:

Observes inefficiencies and contributes ideas to improve safety, quality, or flow.

Skills

Mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems and tools.

Visual and basic measurement tools, knows how to perform basic inspections and interpret results.

First‑level stop response, can identify and assist in resolving simple line stops or alarms.

Basic troubleshooting of common mechanical & graphics issues to minimize downtime.

Flexibility and learning agility to rotate between machines, switch between different tasks, ensuring smooth workflow and adaptability.

Startup/shutdown procedures, understands and follows step‑by‑step operation instructions, follows safety protocols and maintains production quality.

Basic computer skills, understands how to use digital tools and systems for communication and task execution.

Accountabilities

Operate assigned equipment following standard procedure, ensure safe and stable operation, and raise issues when needed.

Follow safety protocols, report unsafe conditions, adhere to all safety standards, use PPE properly, and participate in safety audits or checks.

Identify and report equipment or process abnormalities, recognize unusual equipment behaviour or process deviations and inform team leads.

Support basic troubleshooting and housekeeping tasks; assist in resolving minor stops and perform regular cleaning or checks under supervision.

Perform visual and dimensional quality checks, execute basic inline inspections using tools or visual standards, and report non‑conformities.

Minimize material waste through correct handling and operation, operate with care to reduce spoilage.

Participate in on‑the‑job training and learning activities, build knowledge of upstream/downstream process impact, equipment setting, and quality drivers.

Contribute to continuous improvement and problem‑solving activities, keep a clear, organized work area and suggest improvements to routines or ergonomics.

Physical Environment and Working Conditions

Hot/Cold working conditions.

Loud / noisy environment.

Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.

Climbing (stairs and other equipment as necessary).

Qualifications & Experience Production Technician I:

No experience required; High School Diploma or Equivalent; Basic computer skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Hourly Rate: $26.15 (Salary determined by applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment).

This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
