Hourly Full-Time (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Monday - Friday)

Physical Location:

5505 SW Western Avenue, Beaverton, OR 97005

Responsibilities

Complete pre-start forklift maintenance inspection report (or VCR)

Complete daily production sheet accurately recording tons received for sort line and shredder

Record and input into MRS (Material Receiving System) weights, bin count and bin sizes for each customer

Complete daily customer receiving log (bin counts, tote counts by customer)

Forward daily customer receiving log to Operations Specialist for daily entry matching/reconciling

Push shredded material from shredder baler into bunker

Dump non-sort material into bunkers

Inspect/tag equipment (bins, totes or other containers) for:

Damage

Maintenance needs

Proper company logo

Identification/specification labels

Validate data accuracy before end of shift by matching driver customer receipts with MRS entry receipts

Ensure that driver has provided accurate customer name and address information on all equipment received, if this information is not present report the issue to dispatch for correction

Assist with the training of sorting personnel with respect to grade training

Complete daily, weekly and monthly PMs for Shredder, floor scale and also complete debris cleaning

Communicate with dispatch when trucks arrive/leave

Communicate with floor lead – maintenance issues, downtime, production issues

Communicate with Supply Representative on any issues with supplier contamination, change of material type received or MRS grade family discrepancies

Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards

Attend and participate in plant safety meetings

Manage controllable costs through proper equipment, tool and consumable usage

Report any safety or maintenance concerns

Adhere to Plant policies and guidelines

Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Ability to work any shift as needed

Ability to work overtime as needed

Ability to read, write and speak English fluently

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (if needed)

Alertness, visual ability, and concern for quality

Ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast‑paced environment

Good written and verbal communication skills

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem‑solving skills

Flexibility and adaptability to changing work demands

On‑the‑job success in safety, attendance & quality of work expected

Ability to use computers on a daily basis to perform simple tasks, demonstrating knowledge of MRS software

Ability to complete the following training requirements: Paper Grade Recognition Training, Shredder safe operating procedures, PM process for Shredder, Floor scale cleaning process, Lock‑out, Tag out procedures, PIT certification

Ability to operate/monitor the following equipment: Shredder and secured fence around shred area, Floor scale, Computer, Containers (monitored in the event they may need to be repaired or cleaned before sending back), Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, Yard Dog
