Job Summary
The plumbing foreman will supervise plumber mechanics and helpers, ensuring the installation, maintenance and repair of all plumbing related systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Review project specifications to determine materials, equipment, supplies and/or labor needed to complete the project in accordance with established time frame.
Coordinate transportation and delivery of materials to the job site.
Perform material take‑off from drawings.
Review blueprints and building codes/specifications to determine work details and procedures.
Supervise plumbers, mechanics, helpers and any other assigned worker to ensure work is performed to project specifications and safely.
Coordinate activities of plumbers and helpers with other skilled trades in multi‑craft projects.
Attend project meetings regularly.
Communicate job status with plumbing superintendent daily.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
7+ years of experience as a plumber mechanic in commercial or light industrial settings.
Prior supervisory experience is a plus, but not required.
Ability to use power tools and equipment commonly used in construction safely.
Physical activities include standing, balancing, climbing stairs and ladders, walking; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. required.
