Maintenance Technician – Second Shift
Location: Crawfordsville, IN
Pay: $32–$36/hr
Shift: Monday–Thursday 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (first shift on Friday). 10% shift differential.

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plant equipment to keep production running safely and efficiently. This is a steady second‑shift position with opportunities to build your technical skillset.
Responsibilities
Preventative Maintenance – scheduled PM tasks such as greasing bearings, changing belts, changing oil, inspecting systems, and cleaning equipment.
Support production teams during Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
Install, repair, and maintain mechanical machinery and plant equipment to OEM standards.
Dismantle and rebuild equipment to remove, replace, or adjust defective components.
Conduct facility and building maintenance as needed.
Maximize uptime using the proper tools, parts, and repair methods.
Identify electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic problems using diagnostic reasoning and tools (multimeter, tachometer, calipers, etc.).
Observe machinery in operation to pinpoint root causes and resolve issues quickly.
Log all work into the CMMS system with accurate, detailed notes.
Complete end‑of‑shift communication to ensure seamless coordination with production and maintenance teams.
Assist in ordering parts, supplies, and repair components.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and equipment documentation.
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong English communication skills (Spanish a plus).
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand 80–85% of the shift.
Ability to bend, twist, squat, climb, and crawl as needed (up to 25%).
Comfortable working at heights and climbing multiple flights of stairs if required.
Must pass a pre‑employment physical.
