Position Summary: The Expanded Learning Coordinator coordinates exciting, experientiallearning opportunities and experiences outside of the classroom, including before-, during, andafter-school, during breaks, and over the summer for one or more elementary schools within theMonroe-McLain feeder pattern. They collaborate and partner with school leadership and staff,learners and families, and community partners to plan, implement, and monitor high-qualityprograms and activities that support learners’ holistic learning and development. Additionally, theExpanded Learning Coordinator works with community partners and volunteers to activelyremove barriers and provide direct supports in meeting learners’, families’, and communities’various and unique needs.
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, public administration, or related field
Experience: Experience working with/in schools and/or community youth programs
Experience with program planning, implementation, and administration
Experience inspiring and leading groups to reach collective goals, such as directlysupervising teams, volunteer coordination, or project management
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.: Thorough knowledge of child development, positive youth development, and the scienceof learning
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
