Dispatcher: Your Role as an Operations Cornerstone As a Medical Logistics Dispatcher at Rapid Medical, you will serve as the critical link between our laboratory clients, field drivers, and airline partners, ensuring the seamless movement of vital healthcare specimens. This is an exceptional opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about improving healthcare through operational excellence.

Your job is to coordinate and optimize the transportation of medical specimens, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer satisfaction. The scope of impact and autonomy will only be limited by your capacity to successfully drive meaningful operational results.

What You’ll Own & Drive

Generate and adjust daily delivery and return ("stem") routes using our AI-driven dispatch platform

Monitor traffic, weather, and capacity constraints to recalibrate routes in real time

Ensure optimal resource allocation to meet service level agreements and minimize costs

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Validate that all shipments meet HIPAA, DOT, state, and local regulatory requirements

Audit driver documentation (chain-of-custody forms, temperature logs) and elevate non-compliance issues

Ensure all operations adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies

Operational Support & Problem Resolution

Provide 24/7 operational support to W2 drivers and independent contractors via mobile app

Manage emergencies (missed pickups, vehicle breakdowns) and deploy contingency plans to uphold service levels

Demonstrate quick thinking and resourcefulness when addressing unexpected challenges

Serve as primary point of contact for laboratory clients, addressing scheduling requests and escalations

Coordinate with airline and ground carriers for specimen tendering, ensuring adherence to IATA and DOT regulations

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and transportation partners

Ideal Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field

2+ years of logistics coordination experience, preferably in medical or healthcare specimen transport

Proficiency with dispatch/planning software; experience with Salesforce Health Cloud a plus

Low ego, highly intelligent, quick learner eager to roll up your sleeves and tackle any tasks – big or small

Action-oriented with excellent work ethic and attention to detail
