Job Description:

You’re a passionate, empathetic problem-solver with a deep understanding of mental health and substance abuse challenges. Your Mission As a Community Support Specialist, you’ll be on the front lines of client care, offering behavioral and socially rehabilitative services that help people lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and provide support in key areas such as emotional wellbeing, finances, social life, and career goals. You’ll also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure every client gets comprehensive care.

Your Day-to-Day

Provide life‑changing support that helps clients regain control of their emotional, social, and financial wellbeing.

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic client care.

Help clients navigate the complexities of life by connecting them with local resources, support networks, and services.

Utilize creativity to design personalized treatment plans unique to each client.

Offer crisis management support to guide clients through tough moments and resolve challenges with empathy and expertise.

Promote wellness across all aspects of clients’ lives—spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and socially.

Advocate for clients struggling with legal, financial, or societal challenges to help them overcome obstacles.

What You’ll Bring To The Table

A degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a similar field—or a solid combination of education and real‑world experience.

Strong communication and active listening skills; ability to build trust and motivate others.

Leadership qualities—supports the team, shares knowledge, and lifts others up.

Cultural awareness; comfortable working with people from all walks of life and committed to creating inclusive spaces.

Adaptability; able to think on your feet and solve problems creatively.

If driving is required, meet safety and compliance standards.

Growth mindset and willingness to earn required certifications (e.g., Benefits Planning) within a year.

Field‑ready: able to work in community settings such as homes, centers, or drop‑in spaces.

Organized and detail‑oriented; keeps paperwork and compliance in check.

Committed to continuous learning and professional development.
