Job Description Part Time to start. Possible eventual transition to Full Time for the right candidate. Some in-office time initially for onboarding and then remote SUMMARY We are a small, Woman founded Tax and Accounting Firm (CPA) based in the South Bay. We’ve experienced explosive growth in the last year and would love to find a great Tax Preparer to join us on the ride. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding their tax situations. DUTIES Prepare accurate tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
Review financial records and documents to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
Stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Utilize financial software, including QuickBooks, to manage client accounts and prepare reports.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation for tax preparation.
Assist in identifying potential tax savings opportunities for clients.
REQUIREMENTS 1-3 years in corporate or public accounting.
Proficient in technical accounting principles and practices.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Experience using financial software, particularly QuickBooks and Drake.
Familiarity with financial sales practices is a plus.
Knowledge of market trends affecting taxation is an advantage.
