Position Summary The Leasing Associate is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relationships. Responsibilities include lease signing, acting as a landlord representative for property owners, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Respond to telephone and internet inquiries from residents and prospects to schedule virtual, self‑guided, and in‑person tours.
Greet and qualify prospects professionally using guest cards in the Lead Management Software; assist with applications and deposits while adhering to company procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
Maintain an updated availability report, process applications with credit checks and rental history verification, and submit them for processing.
Work with Community Manager to follow up with applicants on their status.
Show apartments, close sales, prepare units for move‑ins, obtain sign‑off on paperwork, and conduct community orientations.
Assist in maintaining an active social media presence to boost property visibility.
Promote resident satisfaction by promptly addressing complaints and requests and resolving service issues.
Generate new leads, conduct tours, maintain show rooms, and perform necessary follow‑up.
Utilize marketing strategies to attract and retain residents within the Marketing Budget and Plan.
Project a favorable image of the community to achieve property objectives and public recognition.
Plan and host resident retention events such as parties and contests.
Complete necessary paperwork for leasing, move‑in, check‑out, and other peak periods in a timely manner.
Attend weekly and daily goal‑setting meetings.
Collaborate with maintenance to address resident service requests promptly and in line with company standards.
Education and Experience
Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Property Management Software.
Valid driver’s license – Required.
Qualifications Physical Requirements:
May be required to sit for extended periods of time while working at a desk.
May be required to climb stairs.
Must be able to read documents, computer screens, and data.
Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer.
May occasionally be required to lift or carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
Must be able to use mobile devices and applications for work‑related tasks.
Work Environment
This role is based on site, primarily in an office setting but may require time spent outside with exposure to the elements.
The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises, and distractions.
