$18.00 + $2.70 Shift Differential = $20.70 per hour

Job Description Reports to : Production Supervisor
Job Purpose Primary responsibility is operating MIG welders, but operators may be rotated through other manufacturing processes to support the production schedule.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material
Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with fixtures or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade
Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
Weld separately or in combination
Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. to move raw material and parts as needed
Able to lift up to 50lbs
Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor
Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards
Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
1 years minimum verifiable welding experience and/or Technical Diploma
Must have experience Mig welding Steel
Ability to perform standard shop computations (math)
Ability to read schematics (blue prints) and engineering drawings
Ability to perform basic maintenance of equipment
Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures
Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments as well as work within a team environment
Experience working on a variety of metals is a plus
