Job Details Palliative Care RN Responsibilities
Coordinates and completes palliative care consults.
Available as a consultant to patients, families and staff (hospital and hospice) regarding end of life issues and palliative
Assisting with education and training of hospital employees; MDs, nurses, medical students, residents, social work and other members of the healthcare team as appropriate
Assures compliance with the Joint Commission and other regulatory standards
Participates in quality assurance and assures compliance with and implementation of any resulting recommendations
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing (CHPN) within 1 year of hire
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
BLS certification required
Two or more years hospice and/or palliative care experience preferred
Two or more years as clinical nurse in acute care setting
Demonstrated knowledge about homecare, hospice, palliative care, advance directives, pain and symptom management and discharge planning
Salary Range USD $58.43 - USD $60.18 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
