Job Description Vault Pressure Control, LLC, leveraging its 100-year product legacy, is a preferred solutions provider of quality pressure control equipment and services for the oil and gas industry.

The CNC machinist works with computer numeric controlled (CNC) heavy machinery from setup to operation to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic or other materials. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Essential Functions

Generate CNC programs for various customer jobs

Verify and record part dimensions and adjust machines accordingly to obtain desired finalized product.

Ability to edit programs and adjust for offsets.

Proficient at using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and depth gauges.

Knowledge of reading blueprints and sketch interpretations to ensure proper fit and finish to parts.

Skilled at identifying and measuring appropriate surface finishes.

Create CNC codes manually and with Esprit Software.

Modify existing programs to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times.

Analyze drawings to determine cutting tools, machine speeds and feed rates.

Ability to work overtime with little or no notice.

Work with tooling vendors and engineering department to stay up to date on new technologies.

Assist other departments as needed.

Adhere to all existing processes and procedures to maintain API standards.

Assist in identifying causes of non-conforming parts.

Identify and adhere to all HSE policies and practices without prompting.

Works in a safe manner in compliance with VPC safety processes and procedures.

Frequent standing for long periods of time, bending, and lifting.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Ability to rework damaged parts work under general supervision.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Authorized to work in the United States

3 years’ experience in CNC machining or a Machining Certificate from an accredited Votech

Machining Certificate from an accredited Votech preferred

Good working knowledge of machine programming required

Good working knowledge of machining terminology

Good working knowledge and practice in the use of precision measurement tools.

Demonstrated good customer service skills – communication skills, positive interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Programming knowledge preferred.

Work Environment

Regular exposure to moving mechanical components, airborne fumes, and particles

Exposure to heat, cold, wet and snow conditions

Moderate noise levels
