Key Responsibilities
Use appropriate hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble and install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts.
Construct built-in-place or prefabricated wooden forms per specifications.
Erect built-in-place forms or assemble and install prefabricated forms.
Insert spreaders and tie-rods to maintain dimensions.
Anchor and brace forms to fixed objects.
Build wooden scaffold supports and shelters.
Assist in pouring concrete, vibrating, leveling, smoothing, and finishing surfaces.
Remove defective spots using power grinder or chisel; patch holes.
Install other items per plans and specifications.
Participate in safety processes and programs; maintain zero injury goal.
Identify and report hazards; use stop‑work authority when necessary.
Support lockout/tag‑out procedures; attend site‑specific training.
Communicate effectively, coordinate with other crafts.
Mentor co‑workers when provided.
Produce quality work according to plans and industry standards.
Assist in planning, installing and repairing structures per plans.
Observe installed equipment for hazards; report to supervision.
If certified, operate equipment properly and complete daily inspections.
Comply with Company Code of Conduct and job‑site policies.
Preferred Qualifications
NCCER Construction Craft Laborer or equivalent craft training program.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience as a carpenter or similar craft helper.
Working knowledge of carpenter craft; fabrication and erection of forms, rebar and concrete.
Must have all necessary tools per Carpenter Helper Tool List.
At least 18 years of age.
Complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records).
Certifications
NCCER Construction Craft Laborer or equivalent craft training program.
Work Environment/Physical Demands Physical Demands:
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Stand, kneel, bend, stoop, and move in confined spaces.
Full range of motion and flexibility required.
Use hands to handle objects, tools, and controls.
Repetitive movement.
Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
Work up to a 12‑hour shift in varying temperatures.
Work Environment:
Typical construction site environment.
Cramped work spaces and awkward positions.
Hot (above 90 °F) or cold (below 32 °F) temperatures and exposure to inclement weather.
Bright or inadequate lighting conditions.
Exposure to distracting or uncomfortable noise levels.
Work around hazardous equipment.
Position considered safety‑sensitive.
