Our mission is to promote growth, independence, and a high quality of life for the individuals we serve, while cultivating a positive, team-oriented workplace for all employees.**Job Summary:**We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated **Direct Support Professional (DSP)** to join our team. In this role, you will support individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome by assisting with daily routines, implementing structured activity schedules, and helping individuals achieve their goals in a safe, nurturing and empowering environment. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact and be part of a team that values person-centered care, collaboration, and growth both personally and professionally.**Key Responsibilities:****Direct Care & Resident Support*** Provide consistent supervision, guidance, and support to residents in their home and community settings.* Assist with daily living activities such as hygiene, personal care, and meal support in accordance with individual protocols.* Support residents in following their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and Therapeutic Support Plans (TSPs).* Foster independence and teach life skills through consistent structure, encouragement, and positive role-modeling.**Program & Activity Support*** Facilitate engaging, structured activities based on each resident’s daily schedule and personal goals.* Encourage community integration and active participation in meaningful recreational experiences.* Document daily progress, behaviors, and medical concerns promptly and accurately using clear, professional communication.**Health, Safety & Incident Management*** Monitor residents’ health, safety, and overall well-being with a focus on dignity and respect.* Administer medications following procedures and maintain accurate, up-to-date medication records.* Use only agency-approved behavior support techniques and report concerns or incidents as required.**Team Collaboration & Communication*** Collaborate with Program Managers, Coordinators, and fellow DSPs to support residents’ success and quality of life.* Attend team meetings and training sessions and contribute to ongoing, team-based treatment planning.* Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, families, and coworkers, fostering trust and shared purpose.**Schedule*** **1st Shift** starts at 6:00/7:00am and ends between 9:00am and12:00pm (Monday thru Friday)* **2nd Shift** starts at 1:00/2:00pm and ends between 8:00pm and 11:00pm (Monday thru Friday)* **12-hour Weekend shifts** starts at 7:00/8:00am ends at 7:00/8:00pm (Saturday and Sunday required on a rotating basis.)* **3rd Shift** starts between 8:00pm and 11:00pm with the shift ending between 6:00am and 9:00am (Monday thru Friday)* **12-hour Weekend Shifts** starts at 8:00pm and ends at 8:00am (Saturday and Sunday required on a rotating basis.)* Holiday shifts required as part of the rotation.* Flexibility required to meet the evolving needs of our residents.**Qualifications:****Education & Experience:*** Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.* Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral needs, or in residential settings preferred but not required.* Ongoing participation in paid, in-service training is required—and we’ll support your learning every step of the way**Required Skills & Attributes:*** Ability to maintain a calm and effective demeanor in emergency and stressful situations.* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality care.* Ability to effectively implement approved physical intervention techniques.**Additional Requirements:*** Must be at least 18 years old.* May require a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record, depending on the needs of the position.* Willingness to work with residents in a variety of environments, including home, recreational, and community settings.**Additional Information**MyPath is composed of a beautifully diverse spectrum of employees with different characteristics, abilities, and life experiences.
