is seeking a
Lead Veterinary Technician / Manager
to guide our technical team and partner with doctors to deliver outstanding patient care and client service.
Position Overview This is a hands‑on leadership role that combines advanced technical skills with team management responsibilities. The Lead Veterinary Technician / Manager works closely with doctors and practice leadership to ensure smooth daily operations, high‑quality medicine, and a positive, respectful team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, train, and mentor veterinary technicians and assistants
Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and hospital protocols
Support doctors with appointments, surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, and emergency cases
Schedule and supervise technical staff; assist with performance management
Oversee inventory, equipment maintenance, and controlled drug logs
Optimize workflow and efficiency in a high‑volume setting
Assist with client communication and service recovery as needed
Collaborate with leadership on hiring, onboarding, and staff development
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, OSHA, and California regulations
Qualifications
RVT preferred
(or equivalent experience considered)
5+ years of clinical veterinary experience
Previous
lead or supervisory experience
strongly preferred
Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical support skills
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Passion for teamwork, mentorship, and quality medicine
Schedule
Full‑time position consisting of 4 ten‑hour shifts per week.
