We’re seeking a
Sourcing Engineer
to own technical procurement and supplier strategy for prototype and pre-production programs. This role is built for a
senior technical buyer
who evaluates suppliers beyond price, understands fabrication constraints, and can drive sourcing decisions that protect
schedule, performance, and cost . What You’ll Do
Own sourcing for prototype materials and components (metals/alloys + treatment processes, electronics components, engineered goods) Evaluate supplier quotations using technical judgment (capability, manufacturability, compliance, lead time risk) Negotiate pricing, terms, and supplier agreements aligned to cost, quality, and delivery targets Qualify and develop suppliers; identify alternates to reduce supply risk Resolve supplier issues (price, quality, delivery, invoicing) and manage schedule changes in ERP Maintain chain-of-custody documentation and supplier quality records (ISO/traceability environments) Minimum Qualifications
BS in Engineering, Science, or related field 5+ years
in sourcing/procurement/supply chain for technical or manufactured goods Experience in
ISO 9001
environments and supplier performance management Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and fabrication constraints
