Responsibilities
Assist in managing the operations side of the loan department, which would include providing direction and supervision to the construction administrator, special assets officer, doc prep supervisor, loan ops manager, compliance, and credit
Review & critique credit approvals, financials spreads, loan documentation, and seek enhancements to the loan operations process
Compile complex credit approval proposals
Mentor & train less experienced credit analysts
Work with lending and appropriate teams to manage the past due loan process, financial ticklers, maturity reports, borrowing bases, construction draws, and real estate appraisal review processes
Review loan policy and other policies, for possible suggested updates and enhancements
A key point person in loan review engagements and audits
Contribute to loan committees and provide credit recommendations
Participate in client calls with lending team (as needed)
Continually strive to seek process enhancements and improvements
Complete other projects and tasks as assigned
Reinforce the application of superior customer service through one’s own example and appropriate follow‑through with involved customers and employees and conduct specific periodic meetings and presentations on this topic with all staff members
Respond to inquiries or refer inquiries to the appropriate department or person and exhibit the necessary follow‑through with customers and/or staff involved
Maintain a current knowledge of changing legislation and regulatory climate and recommend changes to the Bank’s loan policies and procedures
Represent the Bank in various community, civic and community reinvestment functions to further enhance the Bank's image and develop additional business; assist the Bank in establishing and maintaining market position in the financing arena
Cross‑sell the Bank's other products and services, referring customers to appropriate staff as indicated
Assist in meeting annual deposit and loan growth goals assigned by senior management and the Board of Directors; participate in various internal committees assigned by Senior Management and the Board of Directors
Monitors staff in daily tasks, operations and quality control; ensures the organization of assigned areas of the department, coordinating available resources (e.g., staff, materials, etc.) for maximum results
Consistently apply superior decision‑making techniques pertaining to inquiries, approvals and requests as they apply to existing policies and procedures, keeping within assigned approval limits and using these instances as learning tools for employee development
Assume responsibility for special projects; gather data and prepare reports for the Board of Directors and other members of Senior Management, audits and other personnel
Play a positive role in the development and growth of assigned department staff through excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong delegation skills to assure a highly cross‑trained staff
Process, solve and answer complex customer transactions, problems or inquiries
Answer telephones, answer questions and direct callers to proper Bank personnel
Assume responsibility for various department functions in the absence of staff members or in overload situations
Treat people with respect; keep commitments; inspire trust of others; work ethically and with integrity; uphold organizational values; accept responsibility for own actions

Perform the position safely, without endangering the health or safety of themselves or others and report potentially unsafe conditions. The employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations and orders issued pursuant to the OSHA Act of 1970, which are applicable to one’s own actions and conduct
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required, emphasis in Business or Finance/Accounting preferred
10+ years’ credit experience required, with a high level of understanding regarding tax returns, financial statements, and general accounting principles
Detail Oriented & Highly Accurate
Proficient in Microsoft Suite, financial spreading software, and experience in different bank core systems
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to provide leadership
Ability to work with no supervision while performing duties
Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities
