About The Job The Project Manager is overall accountable for planning, executing, and delivering contract orders for Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers within agreed deadlines and budgets.

The role ensures that all process flows and procedures are followed, supports Sales and Customers during quotation, and manages orders from receipt through shipping and final documentation.

Responsibilities

Provide quote support to Sales Companies.

Manage orders in a global environment.

Review customer technical specifications to understand contract requirements and meet with Sales and Customers to clarify design parameters.

Assemble project team to generate all necessary documents, drawings, weld maps, and calculations (ASME Code calculations, load calculations performed to IBC, UBC, BOCA, ASCE) for submittal to customer.

Create and manage design and schedule in relation to ERP system to ensure scope of order is completely planned and standard cost is accurately calculated.

Assure document package is complete and correct and submit to customer for approval; revise as necessary based on customer feedback.

Order key components from sister Alfa Laval facility and local suppliers, providing all design criteria to ensure accurate production.

Plan outside service activities (e.g., Non‑Destructive Examinations, special painting) to support fabrication.

Plan and conduct Customer Inspection activities.

Conduct meetings with customers and customer inspectors as needed.

Ensure shop documents are generated, reviewed, and approved.

Conduct release meetings with Shop Floor, QA, and project team to review order specifics and timeline.

Monitor orders through production, shipment, and invoicing; manage changes as necessary and coordinate outside services with shop floor.

Work closely with Sales Companies to ensure financial targets are met and identify opportunities to enhance margin.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent technical manufacturing experience, or experience with project management in similar applications.

Minimum 3 years of experience as Project Manager in manufacturing companies.

Leadership ability and preferably relevant experience.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Project.

PMP Certification (desired).

Strong drive and tenacity; proactive and structured.

Execution orientation with critical thinking and problem‑solving mindset.

Excellent communication skills and team motivator.

Decisiveness, stress tolerance, and customer‑service orientation.

Multi‑tasking and management control.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.

Ability to plan and execute projects, adjust priorities, and manage customers, suppliers, and internal functional groups.

Ability to sell ideas and motivate others.

Ability to manage information flow for project and risk management.

Knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, including Sections IX and VIII‑Div‑1.

Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
