Global Payroll Support Specialist – Rippling
Rippling is a unified platform that lets businesses run HR, IT, and Finance from a single place, enabling payroll, benefits, expenses, and more to be managed centrally. Our early‑stage team is headquartered in San Francisco, CA, but we support a global customer base and offer remote work with a preference for Pacific or Mountain time zone availability.
About The Role You will be the subject‑matter expert on payroll in your region (UK, Canada, Australia, or India) and the primary point of escalation for complex customer issues. Your deep technical payroll knowledge, coupled with strong problem‑solving and communication skills, will help us provide world‑class support to enterprise clients.
What You Will Do
Become the go‑to product expert on Global Payroll and HR capabilities for your region.
Develop clear, accurate content, documentation, and FAQs for customers and internal teams.
Analyze support interactions to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities to improve the experience.
Partner with regional Product Managers on support volume, customer feedback, and compliance priorities.
Act as a senior resource and point of escalation for Customer Support Specialists on complex payroll issues.
Own and resolve the most challenging customer cases using deep platform and country‑specific payroll expertise.
What You Will Need
Bachelor’s degree.
0‑3 years of professional work experience (internship experience acceptable).
Current residence in a Pacific or Mountain time zone with ability to work a shift between 9 am and 6 pm PST.
Strong client‑facing skills and experience managing enterprise customer relationships.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proven ability to investigate and resolve complex payroll discrepancies.
Passion for documentation and knowledge‑sharing.
Exceptional communication skills and fluency in English (written and spoken).
Experience in a payroll provider, HR software company, or large in‑house payroll function highly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits Non‑exempt, full‑time hourly position with overtime eligibility.
Pay range (US Tier 2):
16 – 23.49 USD per hour
Pay range (US Tier 3):
15 – 22.19 USD per hour
