Position Overview
A well-established, family-oriented construction management and general contracting firm in Northeast Ohio is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. With more than 60 years in business, a strong regional presence, and a reputation built on reliability, stability, and quality, this company delivers projects across multiple commercial and institutional sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and bid proposals
Review drawings, specifications, and project documents
Obtain subcontractor and supplier pricing and evaluate scope coverage
Analyze bids, perform cost comparisons, and support value engineering efforts
Assist in developing project budgets, bid packages, and bid strategies
Maintain and update historical cost data, production rates, and pricing databases
Collaborate with preconstruction, project management, and leadership teams
Qualifications
3 years of estimating experience with a general contractor or CM firm
Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and materials
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering documents
Proficiency with estimating and digital take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, OST, ProEst, Sage, etc.)
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
