Job Description When joining our Management Training Program, you will join the company as an Operations Supervisor. The program is a 20‑week training that covers every aspect of our company and industry from a service center perspective. You will work at one of our 240 nationwide Service Centers and must be willing to relocate. Your training focuses on front‑line supervisory duties, safety, maintenance, and transportation procedures. You will observe supervisors during inbound, outbound, city and direct‑to‑customer shifts and spend time with ArcBest Account Managers to learn proactive account management. After training you will be assigned to one of our facilities across the continental United States as an Operations Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Provide a clean, safe working environment for all personnel and visiting customers.
Coordinate work assignments and monitor performances.
Provide training, performance feedback, and disciplinary recommendations, as needed.
Assign job tasks to workers according to unloading and loading schedules.
Plan, supervise, and control available resources associated with the timely, damage‑free, and safe loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts.
Maintain appropriate load plans and ensure proper load balance for safe vehicle operation.

Other duties and projects, as assigned.
Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.
Foster safe handling, loading, unloading, and storage of hazardous materials.
Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
General knowledge of freight, imports, exports, and proper freight handling techniques (preferred).
Must be willing to relocate (required).
Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (required).

Compensation
This is a salary position paid biweekly.
