Job Summary
Responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring products through the complete production cycle. Point of contact for all schedules within the company. Senior responsibility for maintenance of the ‘Plan’ and Customer Lead Times. Specific Job Responsibilities
Develop Master Production Schedule in company system to prepare requirements for purchased and manufactured parts, in alignment with S&OP. Responsible for the timely reporting of the effectiveness of the Master Schedule and ideas and action plans for improvements. Head responsibility to ensure production schedules reflect customer’s orders, finished goods inventory whilst taking into account materials and plant capacity. Ownership and ‘sign‑off’ of the Production Plan and Sub‑contractor schedules. Ensure timely and accurate MPS into ERP system. Calculate and publish Planning Mix, to ensure completion of Unit Plan and Level Loading of production. Prepare and maintain all production orders. Lead and direct regular Operations meeting to review sales demand, fill rates and production capacity. Review requests of new sales order and provide practical promise dates to client service prior to promised orders. Monitor and manage independent demand forecasts, sales orders and manufacturing capacity to level load manufacturing operation. Head responsibility to manage inventory levels to assure sufficient availability of product, support CELT and inventory days are aligned to company targets. Develop, implement and manage performance metrics directly pertinent to Master Planner function. Provide regular reporting on the CEM performance including OTD, premium freight charges incurred, obsolete and excess risks. Required Qualifications and Experience

Essential 5 years in a production control or planning environment Knowledge or Experience of Planning in a manufacturing environment Understanding or Experience of working with ERP packages Project participation or project management experience Previous success in New Model introduction Understanding of a manufacturing environment Ability to work with Microsoft packages to an advanced level, particularly Excel Good knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing constraints Appreciation of Bill of Material structures and how they work in MRP Good working knowledge of ERP systems Able to work to tight deadlines Good attention to detail Responsive to change Communicative Able to work in challenging situations in a fast paced environment Desirable Six sigma or LEAN experience Equal Employment Opportunity and Affimative Action at Nidec
