Parks Marina is seeking an experienced Parts Department Associate to assist one of the largest 2‑location boat sales and service departments in North America. The Marine Parts Department Associate supports the parts and service operations by assisting customers, technicians, and sales staff in finding and ordering the correct marine parts and accessories. This role combines product knowledge, customer service, and organizational skills to ensure timely and accurate parts fulfillment and inventory management.
Job Responsibilities
Greet customers and assist them in finding the parts they are looking for, including answering questions, educating on product usage, and providing advice for maintenance and installation.
Assist with inventory management and verify that all parts are correctly stocked and displayed for optimal visibility and accessibility.
Intervene in situations where a customer is dissatisfied and devise creative solutions to maintain business when dealing with backorders, damaged parts or stock‑outs.
Organize merchandise and adjust displays to reflect current inventory, sales and promotions.
Calculate sales totals, factoring in discounts, store credit, promotions and flash sales.
Label parts based on their function and price using predetermined organization methods and documentation.
Inspect returned parts for defects and facilitate replacement parts or full refunds.
Participate in accepting shipments of parts, sending orders to customers and documenting all inventory that enters and exits the facility.
Required Job Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent degree.
Able to quickly learn about a variety of parts.
Personable, friendly, and willing to listen.
Positive attitude, high level of accuracy, hard‑working, self‑motivated and a demonstration of impeccable customer service.
Preferred
Three to five years of experience in parts and customer service.
Previous point‑of‑sale system experience.
Familiarity with stocking and organizing inventory.
Prior parts and computer experience.
