Microsoft 365 Expertise
Oversee the design, security, compliance and administration of the M365 ecosystem, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and related services.
Provide architectural guidance and lead integration efforts with third‑party solutions where required.
Lead end‑to‑end technical integration of Microsoft 365 environments during mergers and acquisitions, including tenant‑to‑tenant migrations, licensing alignment, and security posture harmonization.
Technical
Act as a key technical leader for the IT platform team, mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures for M365 systems.
Lead incident management and root cause analysis for complex issues affecting M365.
Prioritize and complete tickets according to impact to Sanford Health business functions. The position includes on‑call rotation and supporting critical MIM events.
The Principal Technology M365 Integration Advisor will serve as the technical authority and subject matter expert in designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing Microsoft 365 (M365) environments. This role involves leading architectural design efforts, ensuring the security and scalability of the infrastructure, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership to enhance M365 solutions. Prepare and implement plans for systems maintenance, production activities, and necessary support resources. Oversee and lead the infrastructure capacity planning process by collaborating with system owners and vendors to align system capacity with business plans. Prepare cost estimates for current and proposed projects, reflecting the technical, process and staff requirements.
Responsible for the management and oversight of multiple inter‑dependent infrastructure and system integration projects. Oversee all aspects of assigned infrastructure integration projects throughout project lifecycles to ensure completion and alignment to scope, quality, time and financial requirements.
Lead the infrastructure organization through disaster recovery, system resiliency and single‑point of failure analysis, planning and preparedness. Build, run and maintain processes to support a living infrastructure disaster plan that aligns with critical business needs. Ensure data recovery, maintenance, data integrity and space requirements are met across a variety of platforms.
Serve as the senior most expert resource to information technology (IT) groups in planning the resource requirements for systems under development. Perform technical due diligence in system acquisition scenarios. Provide executive leaders with analysis, insights, gaps, risks and opportunities for consideration in system acquisition. Develop and propose enterprise system roadmaps. Analyze systems and future state designs for critical dependencies and create proposals, cost estimates and execution plans. Create and execute on risk mitigation and related system integrations, migrations and consolidations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required with fifteen years information technology and infrastructure leadership and/or hands‑on experience. Also will consider Master’s degree with ten years experience.
