Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Full‑time, Rotating Shift Operations Coordinator.
Overview Position: Full‑time, Rotating Shift Operations Coordinator Location: Norfolk, VA
Shift/Hours Full‑time, Rotating Shifts from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with 12‑hour shifts as needed.
Responsibilities Provides daily support to the operations of the department and administrative support to the Leader. Assumes responsibility and accountability for office activities, administrative, procurement, and business/financial activities. Must have extensive knowledge of the operations of the department, including educational programs, Sentara Healthcare systems, policies/procedures, and regulatory requirements. Supports the delivery of patient care and functions in a multi‑disciplinary environment, requiring excellent communication and customer service skills.
Performs administrative tasks such as providing customer service through phone and personal interactions, managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, preparing departmental reports and statistics, and maintaining files. Prepares and processes accounts payable, payroll, employee mileage reimbursement claims, and operational information. Responsible for supply ordering and charge entry, and provides technical support and administrative assistance to department staff.

High School Grad or Equivalent Required

2 years of Clerical Experience Required
Microsoft Office Skills Preferred
