About the Role We are seeking qualified contractors to fulfill the role of a Premium Assistance Investigation Specialist, who will play a critical role in ensuring program eligibility for members by reviewing documentation, conducting investigations, and maintaining strong communication with clients and employers. This position requires analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. This opportunity is open to individuals located in San Antonio, TX and/or surrounding areas.
Contractors will be engaged and paid by a third‑party payroll supplier, BCforward, which will serve as the employer of record for tax and compliance purposes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct research and investigations to gather all necessary information for case evaluations
Review and analyze client documentation (e.g., paystubs) to determine eligibility for monthly reimbursement
Communicate with PA members and employers to request missing or invalid documentation and clarify changes
Respond to incoming calls and inquiries from clients and employers while maintaining professional standards
Deliverables or Project Scope
Ensure accurate and timely eligibility determinations for Premium Assistance cases
Meet or exceed daily productivity goals and assist with escalations as needed
Support process improvements and contribute to training new team members
Maintain compliance with professional standards
Collaboration Tools or Platforms
Case Management Software for documentation review and case tracking
Microsoft Office Suite for communication and collaboration, task reviews and updates
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 2 years experience in customer service and/or contact center
Preferred Qualifications
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
Ability to manage workflows and prioritize tasks effectively
Exceptional interpersonal skills for building professional relationships
Experience in critical thinking and process improvement initiatives
Additional Information / Requirements
Must be comfortable handling confidential information and maintaining compliance with company policies
Basic computer applications and data entry
Schedule / Operating Hours
Monday through Friday
8 hour shift per day between the hours of 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM CST
Voluntary Overtime may be available Monday through Saturday
