ERISA Compliance Manager
At Schwab Retirement Plan Services, you’ll drive ERISA compliance testing and reporting for midsized and large employers nationwide. This role requires on‑site presence in the specified location(s).
Location: Orlando, FL.
Start Date: April 6, 2026.
Responsibilities
Prepare Form 5500 and Form 8955‑SSA within statutory timelines.
Act as the primary liaison with ERISA Consulting, external clients and Relationship Managers for complex ERISA compliance testing issues.
Prepare Defined Benefit 5500s and 8955‑SSAs, and perform complex pension benefit calculations.
Collaborate closely with Relationship Management and actuarial teams to address higher‑level client issues and external auditor requests.
Serve as direct contact with plan sponsors and their external auditors to add value and retain clients.
Lead initiatives to improve, develop, implement training programs and procedures.
Provide mentorship to junior staff and conduct peer reviews of assigned work.
Take on additional project leadership responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
4‑7 years in the retirement plan industry with significant direct experience in ERISA compliance testing and reporting.
Thorough knowledge of the IRS & DOL Code and Regulations, including experience with pension plans.
Excellent problem‑solving skills, strong verbal and written communication, high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and ability to meet stringent deadlines.
Project leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a focus on Actuarial Mathematics.
ASPPA QKA, QPA or CPC designation.
Experience with Actuarial Systems Corporation (ASC) Testing/5500 software.
