Doors, Frames, and Hardware
you are responsible for driving the project to completion on time and within budget while providing exceptional experience for our clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for full project ownership including, but not limited to:
Own all project finances and internal financial reporting, billing, and forecasting
Negotiate, organize, understand, and maintain up‑to‑date contract documents
Prepare, manage, and maintain project schedules in conjunction with the Operations Manager.
Manage the Owner Change Order Request process
Comfortable managing multiple projects at varying stages within a lifecycle.
Lead project communication and client engagement
Support cost estimating and schedule management
Manage all contracts, change orders, RFI's, submittals, and documentation
Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and accounting teams
Identify new business opportunities and foster strong relationships
Help drive site‑specific safety plan and the importance of a safety‑first mindset
Receive, review, and help foster the resolution to project specific issues
Manage a small team of employees, providing oversight, direction, and mentoring in accordance with Hourigan's policies and procedures.
Foster and cultivate a team culture that aligns with Hourigan's mission and values.
Participate in the Hourigan Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) by committing to safe work practices, raising concerns, attending, and applying safety and health training, and eliminating hazards within your capability and control and the help of safety staff.
Provide resources and support to ensure positive safety and health outcomes in line with the Hourigan SHMS.
Qualifications and Experience
B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 5-7 years of general contracting experience with demonstrated understanding of divisions 5, 8, and 9
Extensive experience and knowledge of Construction estimating, means and methods, accounting, document administration, and a thorough understanding of industry practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Experience with scheduling software, Textura, Procore, and Bluebeam preferred.
Previous experience managing employees preferred.
