In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary commercial leader and brand ambassador within the heavy‑duty truck and broader transportation OEM ecosystem. This position blends high‑level relationship management, technical‑commercial expertise, and program leadership. Your mission will be to drive strategic growth by ensuring our materials are specified into future vehicle programs and strengthening our partnerships with major OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary commercial contact for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to position the company as a leader in technical material solutions.
Secure material specifications on future vehicle platforms by engaging directly with OEM engineering, design, and procurement teams.
Track OEM product cycles and design reviews to ensure company solutions are evaluated early in the decision‑making process.
Lead all commercial and program‑related activities for assigned accounts, ensuring milestones and validation requirements are met.
Manage customer claims and quality resolutions with urgency, coordinating with internal technical teams to protect brand reputation.
Develop and execute growth strategies to expand market share within the heavy‑duty truck and adjacent transportation segments.
Negotiate pricing, long‑term agreements, and commercial terms to ensure profitable revenue growth.
Partner with R&D and product management to translate customer needs into new product concepts and innovation opportunities.
Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to guide internal strategic planning and product roadmaps.
Represent the organization at industry trade shows and customer forums to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience in OEM or Tier 1 sales, business development, or key account management.
Proven track record of influencing OEM design cycles, sourcing decisions, and material specifications.
Experience managing Tier 1 suppliers, including commercial agreements and multi‑year program launches.
Professional background in interior materials, vinyl, textiles, or automotive components is strongly preferred.
Ability to lead cross‑functional teams including engineering, quality, and R&D in a matrixed environment.
Advanced skills in contract negotiation, pricing strategy, and margin management.
Executive‑level communication skills with the ability to influence senior procurement and engineering leadership.
High level of emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate complex, long‑term customer environments.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project timelines and stakeholders simultaneously.
Strategic thinker with a proactive, results‑oriented approach to brand representation and market growth.
