The Senior Accounting Manager will assist the Controller in driving all of ILM's accounting processes, including month-end close, and leveraging Oracle Cloud and related business systems for efficiency. This role involves coordinating with ILMs global studios and ensuring efficient financial operations.
ILMs finance and accounting managers are expected to be hands-on ---not just managing other peoples work but also performing processes with either primary responsibility or as back up, as necessary.
This role is considered Hybrid, which means the employee will work 2-3 days onsite at our San Francisco location and occasionally from home.
What Youll Do
Assist with month-end and quarter closes, including reconciliations, reporting, and analysis, covering all five ILM global studios.
Manage the Accounting Manager as well as the Oracle Cloud business systems team which includes related analysts and contractors.
Ultimately responsible for accounts payable and fixed assets functions.
Identify and prioritize Oracle maintenance and optimization projects for the ILM enterprise.
Maintain the general ledger in partnership with the Controller.
Drive the company-wide revenue recognition process.
Manage the transfer pricing process including preparing documentation, engaging with external consultants, reviewing and updating transfer pricing fees, and working with legal to establish agreements for new activities.
Partner closely with ILM production accounting and financial planning across ILM studios. Provide data and insights to analyze financial performance.
Drive process improvements and documentation.
Establish and maintain internal controls and manage and support internal and external audits.
Liaise with foreign subsidiaries and assist with studio integration.
What Were Looking For
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance.
8+ years of finance/accounting experience, including team management
Experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller in a dynamic company a plus
CPA/public accounting audit experience preferred.
Strong skills in organization, communication, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office and Excel; Oracle Cloud experience highly preferred.
Knowledge of US GAAP (books maintained in accordance with US GAAP for Walt Disney Consolidated reporting.).
Experience with financial reporting tools (TM1, Discoverer) a plus.
Nice to have :
Project Accounting and/or prior entertainment industry experience.
Experience with SAP (ILM financial activity regularly interfaces with Disneys SAP system)

The hiring range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $164,800 to $201,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidates geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
