Job Description Salary: Varies We are currently seeking a dedicated and flexible Preschool / After School Substitute Teacher to join our team. As a substitute teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity in our educational programs in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Responsibilities: Implementing lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher Providing a safe and supportive learning environment for preschool-aged children Engaging children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development Supervising children during playtime, meals, and outdoor activities Collaborating with other staff members to ensure consistency in daily routines and procedures Communicating effectively with parents/guardians regarding daily activities and child development
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in early childhood education preferred Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting is advantageous Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and follow established routines Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children
Schedule: This is a part-time, on-call position with flexible hours. Substitute teachers may be called upon to cover various shifts based on the needs of the preschool.
