Residential Driver (Garbage Truck - CDL)
Residential Garbage Truck Driver

Responsibilities
Operate the truck in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, federal regulations and company policies.
Provide waste or recycling services to customers on assigned routes by emptying trash/recycling receptacles into the truck and hauling to the disposal site.
Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area.
Clean up waste spills and overflows.
Maintain and update route sheets.
Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and complete logs.
Maintain and update driver log sheets.
Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Reports To Operations Supervisor
Qualifications
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid Class B CDL (at least).
Valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire.
Successfully complete pre‑employment testing.
Read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.
Physical Demands / Environmental Factors
Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
Occasionally required to stand and walk.
Exposure to extreme weather conditions.
Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
Possible exposure to high traffic conditions while outside the vehicle.
Frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
