Ox Bottom Animal Hospital is a locally owned, full‑service companion animal hospital that provides quality veterinary service to Tallahassee, Florida and the surrounding areas. Our friendly staff and experienced doctors specialize in preventative care, dental surgery, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, and behavior issues.
Job Description Job duties include maintaining the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greeting and welcoming clients and patients, answering questions and triaging client concerns, handling calls and emails and directing them to the appropriate party for resolution, scheduling appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, checking clients in and out, and processing payments. Receptionists provide friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need, and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes. The role may involve exposure to unpleasant odors, noises, bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases. Opportunities for virtual and hands‑on training and continuing development are available for growth.
Qualifications
Experienced receptionist with a minimum of one year veterinary experience preferred
Compassionate, calm, team player, multi‑tasker, and strong communicator
Highly organized and possesses computer skills
Self‑starter with the desire to continue to advance knowledge and skillset
Pay Range Starting at $15 per hour depending on experience.
