Sorrel River Ranch, a premier luxury resort in the heart of Moab, Utah, is seeking an experienced Wrangler and Experience Guide. Located on 260 acres along the Colorado River, surrounded by 2,000‑foot‑high cliffs, buttes, and mesas, it offers unmatched beauty and opportunities for outdoor adventures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead informative and engaging tours showcasing the natural beauty and adventure opportunities near Moab, Utah. Tours include UTV experiences, hikes, and bike tours.
Provide in‑depth knowledge about local destinations and areas of interest, including Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, and other scenic areas. Educate guests on geography, local history, local flora and fauna.
Ensure the safety and well‑being of tour participants throughout excursions.
Interact with guests on property to showcase the experience programming and sell adventures.
Tailor tours to accommodate diverse guest interests and preferences, offering personalized experiences.
Collaborate with resort staff to promote and coordinate tour offerings effectively.
Conduct safe trail rides on horseback as well as rides in the barn area.
Clean the corral area and barn, maintain all tack and equipment, and ensure the health and welfare of the herd.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Certification is required prior to start date.
The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of the Moab area or has spent significant time exploring its surroundings.
Proficiency in operating UTVs is required.
Experience with guiding individuals and groups is required; experience with private tours is preferred.
Must have extensive knowledge and experience with horses and previous western riding experience. Some veterinarian knowledge is a plus.
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
