Responsibilities
Consult with customers and comply with all requests to ensure satisfaction, interacting warmly and professionally.
Practice timeliness—start shift on time and finish pets before the promised time.
Conscientiously perform all aspects of grooming to Best Friends expectations of quality.
Groom all breeds and styles, including specific breed styles requested by clients.
Work in an organized and hygienic manner; keep work area free of hair and clutter and sanitize tools between pets.
Understand the purpose of products, use them appropriately, and follow label directions; assist Manager in maintaining inventory by reporting stock levels.
Treat equipment and tools with care, help with simple maintenance, and report mechanical failures to Manager in writing.
Collaborate with Manager and center staff to ensure the salon runs smoothly and meets the highest expectations of service and product quality.
Requirements
At least 1–2 years of experience out of school or professionally trained.
High school diploma.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds.
Comfortable in an environment with disinfectants, animal dander, and excretions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Loves animals and demonstrates patience when handling pets.
Professional manner at all times; upbeat and positive personality.
Dependable with reliable transportation.
