Job Title: Technical Product Owner (Contract) Location: Remote (Anywhere in the U.S., within continental time zones) Contract Duration:

  • Initial: 6 months
  • Likely extension up to 12 months based on performance
  • Contract only (not contract-to-hire)
About the Team & Role You will join the Advisor Experience Product Group , specifically supporting the Account Opening & Transaction Experience domain. This role focuses on back-end integrations with external clearing partners (e.g., Fidelity, Schwab) and internal systems, ensuring seamless data and document exchange through APIs. The product ecosystem includes:
  • Solution Studio (homegrown platform for advisors to select products)
  • Account opening and transaction workflows with deep integration requirements.
Key Responsibilities • Backlog Management:
  • Translate vision and strategy into actionable user stories and epics.
  • Maintain a well-groomed backlog in JIRA .
  • Ensure prioritization and sequencing aligns with technical feasibility.
· Integration Ownership:
  • Drive API-based integrations between the service layer and external partners (Fidelity initially, Schwab and others later).
  • Manage two-way data/document transmission and ensure surfaced data is available in the advisor UI.
· Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Partner closely with engineering leads for sequencing and technical feasibility.
  • Lead Scrum ceremonies and foster team autonomy.
  • Work with external vendors (Fidelity, Schwab) and internal stakeholders.
· Execution Focus:
  • Take ownership of delivery and execution.
  • Operate with minimal direction-understand the North Star and run with it.
Required Skills & Experience • Product Ownership:
  • 4+ years in product roles (PO or PM), with strong execution focus.
  • Proven ability to break down complex initiatives into deliverable increments.
· Technical Expertise:
  • Strong understanding of APIs , data models, and service layer integrations.
  • Ability to bridge business requirements with technical implementation.
· Tools:
  • JIRA (mandatory), Confluence, Atlassian suite.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce (nice-to-have).
  • Microsoft Teams and Office suite.
· Industry Knowledge:
  • Financial services background is a plus but not required .
  • Bonus if experience with clearing firms

  • With Product Manager and Director.
  • With Engineering Manager for technical depth.
