Location: Port Allen, LA

Pay Rate: $22/hr. on W2

Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate (Distribution Specialist) is responsible for efficient execution of inbound goods receipt, inventory accuracy, and compliance with GMP, transportation, and import/export regulations. This role supports both internal and external customers and ensures proper material flow throughout the warehouse.

Essential Functions

• Receive inbound shipments for internal and external customers, domestically and internationally.
• Complete receipt documentation, post transactions in the ERP system, and move materials to appropriate warehouse locations.
• Fill inventory stocking requests for residual returns and production floor needs.
• Verify accuracy of inventory through cycle counts, batch reconciliations, and quantity checks.
• Properly move, store, and segregate inventory to maintain housekeeping, reduce congestion, and comply with procedures.
• Ensure required training and certifications remain current.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and material flow.
• Perform projects assigned by Materials Management.

Minimum Requirements

Education / Experience / Skills:

• High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree, or equivalent education/experience.
• 1–3 years of warehouse experience with responsibility for inbound receipts.
• Working knowledge of dangerous goods (DG) handling and transportation.

Competencies

• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Knowledge of GMP, DG, IATA, DOT, and IMDG regulations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• PC proficiency and strong attention to detail.
• Forklift Certification (required).

Organizational Relationship / Scope

Reports to the Materials Management Manager in Port Allen, LA. Works closely with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Production, and Quality teams.

Working Conditions

Primarily warehouse environment; physical requirements apply.
