Shyld AI is building Physical AI systems that operate autonomously in hospitals to reduce infections and improve clinical workflows. Our platform combines sensing, embedded systems, AI, and hardware deployed in real clinical environments. We are looking for a hands-on Hardware Systems & Test Engineer to help us design, test, validate, and deploy reliable hardware systems at scale. This role sits at the intersection of hardware testing, QA, system integration, and field deployment , and will play a critical role in ensuring our devices perform safely and reliably in hospitals. Own hardware testing and system-level validation for Shyld AI devices Define and execute hardware QA processes , including incoming inspection, functional testing, and reliability testing Work closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers , helping manage technical communication, troubleshooting, and design iterations Organize and maintain the hardware lab , including test fixtures, tools, inventory, and documentation Debug and troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and system-level issues in both lab and field environments Support device installations at customer sites , including setup, validation, and troubleshooting in hospital environments Create clear documentation for test procedures, installation workflows, and field learnings 3+ years of hands-on experience in hardware testing, system integration, or hardware engineering ~ Comfortable working across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries ~ Experience with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers ~ Comfortable traveling to customer sites and working hands-on in the field ~ Experience with medical devices, robotics, or safety-critical systems Python or scripting experience for test automation High ownership and direct impact on product reliability and customer success Opportunity to grow into Technical Operations or Hardware Lead roles over time
