About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Privacy to take on a pivotal role in leading the global data privacy and protection function. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the global privacy strategy in line with company objectives and regulatory frameworks. This includes serving as the senior-most expert on global data protection and privacy laws, building robust privacy-by-design capabilities, and overseeing critical processes for data handling. The role demands a leader who can coach and manage a high-performing, globally distributed privacy team, and who is adept at partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure privacy is integrated into the product lifecycle.
Applicants for the Head of Privacy position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in privacy, data protection, or legal/compliance roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading global privacy programs, particularly in scaling technology companies, and possess deep, practical knowledge of global privacy frameworks. Tech-savviness and the ability to adapt to new platforms are essential, as is the willingness to serve as a Data Protection Officer if required. Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, or equivalent are highly desirable. The role is suited to a professional who can provide pragmatic, business-minded, and actionable advice, and who is committed to ensuring the company's rapid global growth is supported by strong privacy and security measures.
