Job Description: Pay Range: $47hr - $51hr
- The Software Test Engineer is responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining software test plans, scenarios, scripts, and programs to ensure software products meet quality standards.
- This role includes identifying software problems and root causes, testing system modifications, documenting defects, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with software engineers and product owners to maintain overall software quality.
- Develop and execute software tests to identify defects and verify system modifications.
- nalyze moderately complex requirements, specifications, and change requests.
- Produce and monitor test plans, test cases, scripts, and data with pre-determined results.
- Perform test execution and document results accurately.
- Research and provide technical support on operational or system defects, proposing solutions.
- nalyze test results to ensure functionality meets requirements and recommend corrective action.
- Consult with development engineers to resolve issues and provide technical feedback.
- Guide and mentor testers, contractors, and third-party resources on projects and day-to-day testing efforts.
- 5 years of experience in software development and/or testing.
- Knowledge and understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Expertise in software test requirements and protocols.
- Experience with wireless communications and network systems.
- dvanced programming skills in at least one programming language.
- Working experience with databases.
- Develop, modify, and execute test plans, scenarios, and scripts for software and applications.
- Document software defects using bug tracking systems and report issues to engineers and product owners.
- Review software design and support overall quality assurance efforts.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testing staff and project teams.
- Ensure accurate and thorough test execution and reporting within specified schedules.
- Collaborate with development teams to debug and modify software based on test results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products or equivalent.

- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is acceptable.
