Job Title: Product Owner - Banking Domain - Location: Columbia, SC - Hybrid Must (Local Candidates) Type: 6+ Months Contract Job Description: We are looking for a Product Owner with strong experience in the banking and financial services domain to drive product development and delivery for high-impact digital and data-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate should have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and banking stakeholders to deliver valuable solutions aligned with business goals. Key Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. • Define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives. • Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria. • Collaborate with development teams to deliver features on time and within scope. • Lead sprint planning, reviews, and backlog grooming sessions. • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal audit standards. • Track product performance and make data-driven decisions to refine strategy. • Act as a subject matter expert in banking processes and digital transformation. Required Skills & Experience: • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in the banking/financial services industry. • Strong understanding of banking operations, digital banking, or core banking platforms. • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps. • Excellent skills in gathering requirements, writing user stories, and managing backlogs. • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field. Preferred: • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification. • Experience in regulatory/compliance projects, digital product modernization, or banking APIs.
