Job Title: Technical Product Owner Location: Onsite Dallas, TX - Need Local Experience Required: 14+ years Employment Type: 6 months Contract Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams to capture and translate requirements into clear user stories and product specifications
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with internal and external stakeholders; create detailed business process flow diagrams, data mapping documents, and integration specifications
  • Own and groom the product backlog; prioritize features and enhancements based on business value and technical feasibility
  • Work closely with engineering teams to clarify requirements, support sprint planning, and ensure successful implementation of features
  • Analyze complex system integrations and data flows to identify gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization
  • Collaborate with QA and development to define acceptance criteria and validate the functionality of delivered features
  • Troubleshoot technical issues across systems, including basic code-level debugging and SQL/database analysis
  • Understand and interpret relational database structures, write and review SQL queries, and ensure data integrity across systems
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, from developers to executive leadership, translating technical information into business terms and vice versa
  • Contribute to the creation of internal and client-facing documentation, including release notes, API guides, and integration support materials
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or a hybrid technical-functional role
  • Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data mapping
  • Experience working with cross-functional agile teams and leading product lifecycle from discovery through delivery
  • Proven ability to elicit requirements, map business processes, and define user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL); able to write and interpret SQL queries
  • Ability to debug or read through application code (basic knowledge of scripting or object-oriented languages is a plus)
  • Exceptional communication skills - written, visual, and verbal - with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Figma/Visio, Postman, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI or Tableau)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and SDLC best practices
