Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Analyst! Our team works onsite in Idaho Falls with a 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off. Responsibilities:
- Develop complex data models as the back-end engine for front-end visualizations.
- Collaborating with a diverse data analytics reporting team to contribute to the design and implementation of analytics reporting capabilities at the Laboratory.
- Data reports will primarily be designed and delivered using PowerBI and other Microsoft based technologies. A broad experience in data visualization and reporting technologies is preferred.
- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Skills include data analysis techniques (e.g., A/B testing, association rule learning, cluster analysis, pattern recognition and predictive modeling), data analysis and visualization software (e.g., Domo, Looker, PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, SiSense), object-oriented programming languages (Java, Python, R, Ruby, Scala, C++) and/or data engineering skills (relational or NoSQL databases, ETL tools).
- Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
- Ability to understand data structures.
- Ability to work with data science platforms and software (e.g., Jupyter Notebook, Databricks, R, Python, Matlab, SAS, etc.).
- Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
- Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
- The pay range for this position is: Level 1 ($57,444 -$112,Level 2 ($66,504 - $136,356). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
