Junior Production Support Analyst Trade Applications Job at Purple Drive in Sout

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 support for trade applications and related systems.
• Monitor application performance, system alerts, and job schedules to ensure availability.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams for issue resolution.
• Document issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
• Assist in release management, deployment activities, and change requests.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and suggest preventive measures.
• Provide end-user support and respond to queries related to trade applications.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, security standards, and SLAs.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of financial markets/trade life cycle (preferred but can be learned on the job).
• Familiarity with SQL for data queries and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Unix/Linux commands for log analysis and system monitoring.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24x7 support environment (shift-based if required).

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Exposure to scripting languages (Python, Shell, or Perl).
• Experience with incident tracking tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy, etc.).
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem management).
• Internship or prior experience in a production support or financial services role.
