Job Description Description: SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within the facility; and verifying and recording outbound shipments. This position will also be pulling parts on outbound shipments for Quality Assurance inspection by performing the following duties: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed. Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code. Fills requisitions, work orders or request for materials, tools or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line. Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department. Operates small package carrier, (UPS and FedEx) shipping systems. Marks materials with identifying information. Open bales, crates and other containers. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Weighs our counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. Operates vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment. Forklift experience a plus Scanner experience a must Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Requirements: REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Proficient with inventory control systems. Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent time management skills. JOB REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) OR one to three months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying. Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time.
