Job Overview:
In this role, one will support the delivery of patient care by performing Flow Cytometry based assays and data acquisition. Location: Tinley Park, IL Duties and Responsibilities Handles and processes specimens, ensuring proper specimen identification Performs flow cytometry assays according to standard operating procedures for clinical diagnostic and research samples Performs sample processing and preparation for flow acquisition Performs quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, and reagents Participates in the validation of laboratory methods and procedures Performs instrument setup, maintenance, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting as needed Maintains complete and accurate records of reagents following standard operating procedures Submits quality control documentation to appropriate staff for approval Adheres to all regulatory, institutional, and departmental policies to ensure laboratory accreditation Demonstrates initiative within the laboratory Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory preferred, but not required Skills and Knowledge Skill in the operation of laboratory equipment and instruments Ability to follow standard operating procedures and documentation practices Knowledge of GCP Experience with sterile technique required Ability to work as a team member Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of personnel Benefits We offer a competitive benefits package and career development opportunities to help you achieve your highest professional and personal goals.
