A global manufacturer of engineered systems is seeking a Global Key Account Director to lead strategy and commercial execution for one of its most strategic semiconductor OEM customers.
This is a senior, high-visibility role responsible for global account ownership, executive-level relationship management, and coordination of regional sales teams, engineering, operations, and product leadership worldwide.
Role Overview The Global Key Account Director will own the global commercial strategy, revenue performance, and long-term partnership for a major semiconductor capital equipment customer. The role requires deep industry knowledge, strong executive presence, and the ability to align cross-functional and cross-regional teams around a unified account strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Own and execute the global account strategy for a top-tier semiconductor OEM.
Define account goals, budgets, resource requirements, and growth priorities on a global scale.
Lead and align regional Key Account Managers across multiple geographies; set objectives and foster a cohesive global account team.
Serve as the primary executive interface with senior decision-makers at the customer organization.
Identify new business opportunities, influence technical specifications, and support long-term design-wins.
Coordinate pricing strategies, global commercial terms, and contractual alignment.
Drive executive-level sales negotiations and manage complex commercial agreements.
Partner closely with engineering, product management, manufacturing, and sales operations to ensure customer requirements are met.
Support new product introductions, demonstrations, training sessions, and joint technical initiatives.
Ensure accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting.
Travel regularly to customer sites, regional teams, and manufacturing locations to ensure alignment and execution.
Leadership Responsibilities
Provide functional leadership to regional account teams supporting the global customer.
Align global teams across cultures, regions, and time zones.
Promote collaboration, accountability, and performance excellence across the account organization.
Coach and mentor team members to support long-term succession and growth.
Required Background & Experience
Proven experience managing global strategic accounts in the semiconductor or advanced capital equipment market.
Strong understanding of vacuum technology, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, or adjacent engineered systems.
Demonstrated success working with tier-one semiconductor OEMs.
Experience leading or coordinating international, cross-functional sales teams.
Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating complex global agreements.
Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering preferred); advanced degree a plus.
Minimum 5+ years of relevant industry experience; senior-level account leadership strongly preferred.
